A Hidden Cove
If you have even been to Cove Park you have seen Arliss – even though you might not have realized it. The backyards are a backdrop for the park and sports fields located there. I spent many a weekend afternoon coaching my kid’s soccer and baseball games on those fields, and never knew the name of the street right next door. I wonder how many baseballs and soccer balls have ended up in those backyards. Next time you find yourself at Cove Park walk around the corner and check out Arliss – a wonderful little side street with a Cul-de-sac.
I also want to give a shoutout to the wonderful bike lanes on Lake and Madison Avenue. Before starting this challenge I never really thought about them much, but they sure have made riding around Lakewood much more enjoyable.
