Lake Eerie
The other Beach street in Lakewood is located in the far northwest corner of town. It turns off Lake Road and descends down a steep hill, ending where the Rocky River spills into Lake Erie. The area contains a private beach (Clifton Beach) with access to the lake, and several houses wrapping around a lagoon.
I was hoping to get a beautiful picture today, but instead captured this eerie image. I was waiting for Creepers from the old Scooby Doo cartoons to emerge from the fog. The lagoon area looked like a scene from Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco. There was still a quiet serenity down here as I was peacefully being serenaded by the sea gulls.
As I was leaving I noticed some driftwood on the sand. Perhaps Creepers has heard of the Lakewood A to Z challenge as well.
