Scariest Street in Lakewood
As I was jogging over to Cannon this morning, I thought I recalled this street being amazingly decorated for Halloween. After my return a quick Google search of “Cannon Lakewood Halloween” resulted in multiple news stories and videos of just how scary this street gets. It appears the whole street gets in on the show. I was happy to find a spooky skeleton flamingo in a front yard as a remnant from last October. If you get a chance you should check out one of the videos, or better yet walk down the street this fall. Woodford is nearby and I’m hoping I will be walking that street in late October so I can make a return visit to Cannon myself.
On a separate note, today also felt like the beginning of Chapter 2 in this adventure. It was the start of a new month (yeah for March) and a new alphabet letter of streets (C is for Cannon – that’s good enough for me). Two days ago, my Aunt Patti posted on Facebook that I must be looking forward to Spring. I think this year I am more than ever. Springtime brings a fresh feeling to the streets of Lakewood and I’m ready for that to begin. I caught some tiny white flowers poking up through the dirt, a sign of things to come.
