The Office
One of my favorite TV shows of all time is The Office. If I am ever channel surfing and come across a block of Office episodes, I am apt to stop and watch at least three of them.
So today I was excited to get to walk down Delaware – the street where my Lakewood Office is located. As I was walking towards the building on the corner of Delaware and Woodward, I started reflecting on just how much time I spend with my coworkers. There are probably some weeks where I have more awake time at the office than at home. That makes it all the more vital that you work with people you enjoy.
I like to think of our Lakewood Office as Dunder Mifflin with NONE of the drama, but ALL of the fun. We laugh often, support each other, and try to always do what’s best for the people we serve. Not everyone was in the office this morning when I walked by and snapped this pic, but they were all in my mind as I was walking down Delaware today. I appreciate working with Katie, Caroline, Randy, Doug, Alex, Miriam, Conner, Dawson, Jordan, Holly and Brady.
I also noticed a Little Free Library across the street. I was shocked to see it there, as I go down this street every day and had not noticed it before this morning. To be fair, the painting on the side said it was donated by the ’22 and ’23 5th Grade Classes so it hadn’t been up too long. However, this was just one more example of not noticing things that I pass every day, until I take time my time and slow down. Now I know I have a place I can easily walk to if I ever want to donate a book.
