Park Place

Having Fun

Park Place is a short side street between Orchard Grove and Rosewood across the street from Wagar Park. There are only 6 total houses, all on the north side of the street facing south towards the park. I can hardly think of a better view from a front porch than overlooking a beautiful green space filled with kids having fun.

Wagar Park was updated in 2020 and the results are impressive. My favorite part was the flashy new street mural painted on the eastern side of the park near the intersection of Park Place and Rosewood. I snapped a picture showing the vibrant blue and green designs.

This was the perfect street for me to walk after taking a vacation week off. As I saw families enjoying their weekend together at the park today, it reminded me of the time I got to share with my family in Florida this past week. Spending time at a park can almost feel like a mini vacation, especially for those young at heart.

As I was leaving, I glanced up at the intersection of Park Place and Orchard Grove and noticed the abundance of letters. I started wondering if this intersection has the most total letters combined on the signs. Clocking in at 21 letters I thought it might win. I looked back through my past photos and discovered one other intersection that also has 21 letters – Narragansett and Riverside.
