Let There Be Light
As I was biking to my street this morning I glanced up at the rising sun. My office still did not have power from last week’s storm, but I had an inspirational moment as I was basking in the glow of the sun – today would be the day. Sure enough – at 11:10 a.m. I received a text from my office manager that read “POWER IS ON”. I do believe that positive thinking can have an effect on your everyday life.
This entire experience of walking all of the streets in Lakewood has brightened my mood and improved my already optimistic outlook on life. Looking for beautiful, interesting or unusual nuances on each street has sparked my creativity and kept me motivated throughout.
Seneca was the destination today, a street in the “southern” section of Lakewood across the I-90 Interstate. Strangely, when you look up the street in Google Maps it shows it as a “T” shaped street, including Atkins as part of Seneca.
The street is a green oasis just south of South Marginal Drive. A fence separates it from the marginal and an attractive green space can be found on the north side of the street. My favorite discovery was a tree lawn that had been completely transformed into a flower garden. Less to mow – more beauty to enjoy. It was the perfect start to my day.
